An urgent call out example:
Late one Sunday night we received a telephone call from Pulborough R.F.C. to say that one of their shutters would not close. At the customer's convenience, we arranged to meet the following morning. Once on site, upon inspection of the faulty shutter, we were able to establish that the shutter had been brought down onto an open door, thus causing the shutter to 'bunch' up on itself and get caught inside the canopy housing. Having removed the canopy housing, we were able to free the shutter and get in back into the guide rails. Finally, with the adjustment of the up/down limit switches, the shutter was back in good working order.
An example of a shutter needing maintenance:
We received an email enquiry from Pompey Study Centre to say that two of their shutters were not running smoothly, were very noisy whilst being operated and could we carry out a service. Having arranged a convenient time with the customer to carry out the work, we undertook our standard security shutter service. With the work completed, Pompey Study Centre could instantly notice the vast improvement in how smoothly their shutters operated.
A rapid response repair:
We received a call from Hove Park School that a roller shutter to their computer room was broken and that they were very concerned a break-in may occur. As requested by the customer, we promptly arrived at the school to rectify the faulty shutter. Upon inspection, South Coast Shutters were able to establish that the fault was a broken hanging bracket that attaches the curtain/shutter to the roller barrel. Within an hour and a half of arrival our fitter had repaired the security shutter to as good as new. At the same time, we also carried out a service on the shutter including...the adjustment of the up/down limit switches, lubrication of the guide rails and a check that all fixings were secure.
